Editorial Policy
Focus Quarters exists to help you make better decisions about your workspace. This page explains how we research, write and earn money, so you can judge our advice for yourself.
How we research
- Specs and prices come from manufacturers, retailers and published test certificates (for example ISO 23351-1 speech reduction ratings for office pods). Every price is dated.
- Owner experience comes from verified reviews and long-term owner discussions, which we read for recurring problems, not star ratings alone.
- Hands-on testing: when we have used a product or built a setup ourselves, we say so clearly. When we haven’t, we say that too. We never write “we tested” for something we didn’t test.
How we choose what to recommend
We start from the reader’s situation (room size, budget, noise problem) and pick options that fit it. Brands cannot pay to be included or to change our ranking. If a product has a known weakness, we say so, even if we earn from it.
Use of AI
We use AI tools to help with research and first drafts. Every article is checked, edited and fact-checked by a person before it’s published, and all numbers are verified against sources. Illustrations made with AI or 3D tools are labeled as illustrations, and we never create AI images of specific branded products.
How we make money
We earn from display ads and from affiliate links: if you buy through a link, we may receive a small commission at no extra cost to you. Sponsored content, if we ever publish it, will be clearly labeled “Sponsored”. Details: affiliate disclosure.
Corrections and updates
We review our most-read guides regularly and update them when products, prices or advice change. The “Updated” date on an article changes only when the content meaningfully changes. Found an error? Email hello@focusquarters.com and we’ll fix it promptly.
